    Offer's a variety of educational and fun activities. 
  • Austin Nature Center - The center is set up with children in mind.  The hands-on up close view of nature will intrigue children of all ages.
  • Austin Zoo - 10807 Rawhide Trail, off US 290. (512) 288-1490
    The zoo is located on the outskirts of Austin, however it is worth the drive out to see the animals.
  • Barton Springs Pool - located in Zilker Park the fresh water swimming area is great place to cool off.  Cool is the key word.  The average temperature is brisk 70 degrees.

    35 acre animal farm designed for children preschool through fourth grade.  More than 100 animals live on the farm.

    Includes batting cages, miniature golf course, party room, toddler play area, outdoor shaded area, arcade, playscape and a t.v.room.  Open 7 days a week.
  • Hamilton Pool - FM 3238, off Hwy 71

    Pool and grotto area.  The park has limited access.  Call ahead before you go out to make sure that the park is open.

    Clean amusement park built with children in mind.
  • Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex.

    This is a wonderful facility built with children in mind.  The facility includes 55,000 square feet of family entertaining.  Within the facility is a 154 seat movie theater, 16 lane bowling ally, roller skating rink, video arcade area, soft-play area and a food court.
  • Parks & Recreation Centers - Several locations exist throughout the city.

    Within the park is a train built for entertaining children.
  • YMCA Centers - the YMCA offers several locations.  The newest and biggest location just opened at Ed Bluestein Road.
